Want to Reduce Your Building's Energy Consumption?

Want to get involved and benchmark your building? Attend an ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager workshop on May 6, at 7:30 AM at St. Louis Community College’s Corporate Campus. Space is limited and registration is required. Register at http://goo.gl/k8aJpS.

The 25 x 20 Voluntary Energy Benchmarking Campaign aims to encourage St. Louis area property managers to benchmark their buildings in the ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager and to start reducing their energy consumption. The target is to reduce building energy consumption by 25% by the year 2020. Any building can be benchmarked – schools, office buildings, warehouses, government buildings, congregations, restaurants, etc. According to ENERGY STAR data, buildings that benchmark for three years see an average savings of 7%. As the saying goes, “You can’t manage what you don’t measure.” This initiative is coordinated by the USGBC-Missouri Gateway Chapter and the St. Louis Regional Chamber with support from the signatories of the St. Louis High Performance Building Initiative and Missouri Interfaith Power & Light.
