Building a St. Louis Regional Community Development System
In January 2014, the Metropolitan St. Louis Community Resinvestment Act Association and the Commuity Builders Network came together with the common understanding that public investment in neighborhood improvement is shrinking and the region needs a comprehensive and sustainable system for investing in community development. The objective of the Task Force is for organizations who do this work and those who invest in communities to establish policies for how financial institutions and community economic development organizations can better foster sustained neighborhood improvement. This report is the result of a year-long study on community development in the St. Louis region.
Community Lift Strategic Plan
Community L.I.F.T. revitalizes neighborhoods through strategic investments in the areas of human capacity-building and economic and community development that result in sustainable thriving communities. Community L.I.F.T., Corp also known as LIFT (Leveraging Investments For Transformation), emerged out of a citywide planning process called Greater Memphis Neighborhoods (GMN). Mission Investors Exchange
Mission Investors Exchange is to go-to place for foundations who are interested in mission investing, both program-related and mission-related investing. Their website has an extensive library of reports, guides, articles, research, case studies, stories from the field, investment policy templates, and conference and webinar archives. Members can view a database of mission investments made by other members, lists of consultants experienced with mission investing, and a library of members' mission investing contract templates they have submitted for other members to use.Their website is www.missioninvestors.org/.
